1) Ask about experience.
A good track record is always desirable. Ask for references. Request a contract outlining the details of your trip. Read carefully before you sign and return to the company.
2) Request a company’s DOT number.
A Department of Transportation number is assigned by the US Government and is required to operate legally. Premier’s DOT number is 1113247.
3) Ask about a DOT safety rating.
Never charter from a company with an unsatisfactory rating. Premier’s drivers all have a CDL license, a current DOT physical examination, and comply with all company, as well as DOT drug and alcohol regulations.
4) Request Proof of Insurance.
Your carrier should be willing supply a certificate of insurance. This shows the carrier’s levels of insurance and effective policy dates. A minimum of $5,000,000 combined, single – limit liability coverage is required by law.
5) Is the company adhering to DOT driver regulations?
The DOT limits drivers to 15 hours of continuous service; however they may only drive 10 hours during that duration. If your itinerary requires more than the limit, ask how the company is going to handle it.
6) Ask about the company’s procedures for on- the- road emergencies.

7) Is the company available for inspection?

8) Are the coaches video equipped?
Video equipped coaches can be a genuine asset. You can view educational videos or provide movies to help entertain your group. All of Premier’s coaches are equipped with DVD, in motion satellite TV and wireless internet access.
9) Who pays the drivers hotel?
Find out if the driver’s room is included in the price of the charter. With Premier, the customer is responsible for securing and paying for the driver’s room.
10) Who is responsible for extra mileage and hourly costs above the contracted amount?
Find out the carriers policy before the trip to avoid an inflated bill after the trip. Please provide a complete itinerary when requesting a quote so we can be as accurate as possible.
